Sudoku Daily for Chrome puts today’s four puzzles one click from any page — with streaks, best times, pencil marks, and full offline play. It makes zero network requests and collects no data.
How the daily sudoku works
Each puzzle is generated from the date itself, so puzzle #1 on this page is the same grid your friend sees — times are comparable, and “I finished today’s expert” means the same thing for everyone. Every puzzle has exactly one solution, verified during generation.
| Difficulty | Starting clues | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Easy | 36–45 givens | A coffee-break solve; rows and boxes mostly resolve directly |
| Medium | 27–35 givens | Scanning and candidate elimination start to matter |
| Hard | 22–26 givens | Pencil marks recommended; pairs and pointing candidates |
| Expert | As few clues as a unique solution allows | Long deduction chains — expect a real fight |

Daily sudoku FAQ
- When does the daily sudoku reset?
- At midnight in your local timezone. The puzzle number increases by one each day.
- Is everyone playing the same puzzle?
- Yes — everyone who shares your calendar date gets identical grids at every difficulty, on this page and in the Chrome extension.
- Do the puzzles have a unique solution?
- Always. The generator removes digits only while a single solution remains, so guessing is never required — every puzzle can be finished by logic alone.
- Does my progress save?
- Your grid, notes, and timer are stored in your browser and restored if you close the tab and come back the same day.
